In the Spotlight: Tasha Bracken

Congratulations to founder Tasha Bracken for being featured in Curry College Magazine for their "Entrepreneurial Dreams" segment, which profiles successful alumni business owners. Tasha sat down with Curry College to discuss her love for design and planning events.

Tasha founded SD Events in 2002 with a goal to create social and corporate functions that are fully customized to the client - not cookie cutter. Dedicated to solving problems for her clients, Tasha has worked hard to ensure that clients enjoy the planning process and have a stress-free event.

Along with planning social and corporate functions, Tasha is also deeply involved with nonprofit organizations such as the Italian Home for Children and the Melanoma Foundation of New England. She has also developed a strong connection with her Alma Mater, helping plan and execute a class reunion and also bringing in interns from Curry who have been given first hand experience of the event planning industry.

 Congrats, Tasha!

Ellen and Phillip, Chatham Bars Inn

We love quaint, intimate weddings and this one is no exception.  After several years together, Ellen and Philip celebrated their marriage with 9 of their closets friends and family with the Cape Cod shore as their backdrop.

Lilacs florals created a romantic candle lit atmosphere that left guests in awe.  Lush white roses and blue hydrangea cascading in large, exquisite glass vases set the backdrop for the custom table décor.

If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love the decadent dessert bar which featured whoopie pies, fruit tarts, pineapple trifle and two beautiful floral cakes, one created by Sylvia Weinstock.

By far our favorite part of the wedding was seeing the smile on the bride and groom’s faces at the end of the evening.
