Alex and Bridget's Beautiful Cape Cod Wedding

snickenberger-wedding-380_preview.jpg

Bridget and Alex held their wedding at one of our favorite Cape Cod destinations, Chatham Bars Inn. The waterfront views from the Beach House Grill was the perfect setting for the bride's classic New England vision with beautiful accents of ivory, green, and gold. The couple had a wonderful clear-top tent over the dance floor with bright bistro lighting for guests to dance all night long!

Some of our favorite details from the evening? The aquamarine flower pinned in the bride's bouquet which came from a ring of her grandmother which was a beautifully touching piece. Elegant and beautiful floral centerpieces accompanied by candle lit tables and pops of gold! The dance floor under the wonderful clear-top tent was filled all night, allowing guests to enjoy the beachfront venue while dancing.

Congrats Bridget and Alex - here's to a lifetime of happiness!

Lifting the Limits for PKU 2016

We were so excited to be a part of the National PKU Alliance “Lifting The Limits for PKU” event at Fairmont Copley Plaza. It was a powerful evening that focused on fundraising towards research for PKU.

PKU is a rare inherited metabolic disorder that is characterized by the inability to utilize the essential amino acid, phenylalanine (PHE). Amino acids, consumed from the food we eat, are necessary to thrive as the building blocks for body proteins. When left untreated, people with PKU who consume too much PHE are at risk for severe neurological complications, including IQ and memory loss, concentration problems, mood disorders, early developmental delays and intellectual disabilities. Despite ground breaking research that has led to the hope of new therapies and treatments for this disease, the NPKUA’s work is far from over until a cure is found. “Lifting The Limits for PKU” was a tremendous success that helps take NPKUA research one step closer to finding a cure.

The gala in Boston featured an exciting silent and live auction with Auctioneer Keith McLane and Emcee Scott Pelley, not to mention a special performance from Jordan Knight, lead singer of New Kids on the Block, who sang a rendition of Billy Joel’s “She’s Got a Way” for one lucky lady who held the highest winning bid for the chance to be serenaded by Jordan Knight.

Thanks to everyone who attended and supported such a great organization #LTLforPKU

Class of 2016!

Graduation season is in full swing and we can’t help but get excited over all the unique themes to personalize a graduation party! Whether a high school or college grad, your child deserves a personalized celebration for this major milestone in their life. We’ve put together some fun ideas on how to customize your grad’s party – these ideas are sure to wow guests and honor your son or daughter in a festive way!

A great way to determine a theme is to simply show off your grad’s strengths and interests – from music and arts to medical or science studies, bring in decor elements that display some of their favorite areas of education. Of course, another popular idea is to proudly display your grad’s alma mater and future education or career paths!  We love to incorporate the school’s logo, colors or a memorable picture from your student’s experience – display it on a gift table, or find a bakery that will incorporate it onto cupcakes or a cake!

Don’t forget to stay connected and create a fun hashtag, where your child’s friends can find tag and track the festivities on Instagram after the party is over.  We loves a good social media sign that shows off the hashtags throughout the day. Don’t be afraid to have some fun in this area by bringing in your own photo booth with a custom backdrop or hiring a photo booth company.

Last but not least – why not get creative with the catering! From funky food trucks to food stations with your child's favorite cuisine to a cotton candy station - the possibilities are endless when it comes to customizing your graduation food. Your child and your guests will love interactive and delicious food and cocktails, and a great way to stand out among the many other graduation parties that are happening this season!

Happy Graduation Season and Congratulations to the Class of 2016!

Ellen and Phillip, Chatham Bars Inn

We love quaint, intimate weddings and this one is no exception.  After several years together, Ellen and Philip celebrated their marriage with 9 of their closets friends and family with the Cape Cod shore as their backdrop.

Lilacs florals created a romantic candle lit atmosphere that left guests in awe.  Lush white roses and blue hydrangea cascading in large, exquisite glass vases set the backdrop for the custom table décor.

If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love the decadent dessert bar which featured whoopie pies, fruit tarts, pineapple trifle and two beautiful floral cakes, one created by Sylvia Weinstock.

By far our favorite part of the wedding was seeing the smile on the bride and groom’s faces at the end of the evening.
